Canvas 04:43
Endless and serious In a war to take the mountain Oh so mysterious Is the painted sky that stands behind them And are we trapped in a picture Trapped in a picture With all the walls invisible Are we trapped in a picture Trapped in a picture With all the walls invisible Cannons are readying And all the bombs are there to guide you Don't be discouraging There's a star prepared to stand beside you And are we trapped in a picture Trapped in a picture With all the walls invisible Are we trapped in a picture Trapped in a picture With all the walls invisible

The Wall 05:03
Creeping through my head All of the lies I said Keeping you captive every time But when our fire died I built a wall inside Keeping me safe from all my crimes Clap my hands and go It's starting to look like snow Winter skies breaking through the fall Stumbling I climb But I won't arrive on time As I start breaking through the wall So she waits until She has the perfect kill Thinking of the lack of growing fear Silent games begin Knife in a distant skin Staggering, finding me unclear Clap my hands I go I'm starting to step down low Moving on, but every chance I fall Stumbling I climb But I can't escape on time As I take, glances at the wall

I'm becoming more aware of the distance Between the sinfulness and the innocence I know exactly who I am And nothing ever changes I'm not different enough I'm not different enough We never wanna see what the scale shows It's only for the end, and only God knows We know exactly who we are And nothing ever changes We're not different enough We're not different enough

Chroniker (free) 04:06
So if I'm running out of time Would you wake me up so I could say goodbye This world is frozen and my hand is trapped forever by your side And if we can't change this time, then I'll go running back to sleep Because inside my dreams, I'm moving closer all the time Has a prayer been said for me? Have I ever told the truth? Something like the hand of God is sparking fires deep inside As the minute hands go by, and the pendulum is stilled In an endless world of old machines, I wish that I could hide. But everything is moving too slow So if I'm running out of time Would you wake me up so I could say goodbye This world is frozen and my hand is trapped forever by your side And if we can't change this time, then I'll go running back to sleep Because inside my dreams, I'm moving closer all the time In the alteration span, as a burning step is found Treading forward through the sands of time Our shadows on the ground And the pace is not our friend, as I hear the bells below Only words could ever last this long, our love begins to glow Now everything is moving too fast So if I'm running out of time Would you wake me up so I could say goodbye This world is burning and your hand is trapped forever by my side And if we can't change this time, then I'll go running back to sleep Because inside my dreams, I'm moving closer all the time

While we are here Let's take our time, before my death I'll take a moment to catch my breath I see your waves They call to me, the days of loss An Ellis ocean I sail across You lift me up The sinful sight the town below The world I make and the world I know Deep in your sky The shallow deeds expressed in lies A world of patterns with no surprise Splinters in my hands They bleed and bleed The red you need To see the truth you remove from me Glass in the sand The sun is low, the sea is dead The glare is cursed, I have lost my head But oh, the battle rages on With every move you try to make I hold you back what a great mistake When everything is wrong Where do I go? The days of rain, and the days of fall It takes your pain, it takes it all

Color world in black and white Out of darkness blinding light You loose the subject open frame And undo focus stays the same Before the world can finally find its place Picture frame, put back in its own face Single shot no boundary The Photographer upon his knees As he wastes the secret of his art To rend his fragile world apart Beneath the solid frigid ground No warmth could possibly be found But how can I, bow wounded knee To all the truth in front of me? Behind the stealth of foul decree A panorama of the sea.

about

This is a sum of 6 months worth of effort on my final Music Technology project. I composed, recorded, and mixed just about everything at home or at the studios at GSU. I hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Thanks!

Music and Lyrics by Brandon Ellis
Lyrics for "The Photographer" by Andrew Smith

I want to thank my dad, Brad Ellis, for all of the musical training and ability I have. My mom and dad have both encouraged me more than I could have ever expected from anyone.

Also, thanks to all of my friends who I force to listen to my music and give feedback. It helps far more than you know, even if I completely ignore your advice. I hope you catch all of my tributes to our previous endeavors throughout this album.
